Today was our one year Foster-versary with Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups. We fostered 54 puppies our first year and had a lot of laughs, puppy snuggles and kisses and some heart wrenching moments. I wanted a way to give back and this is it. Fostering has changed our lives!
We thought Autumn and Sky were Pomeranian-Husky mix. They were so small and so stinking cute! They had the cutest and loudest husky howls. Our webcams would alert that a CO2 alarm was detected when they really got going!
When we got Cinnamon, Llana and Pepper they were hungry and scared. All puppies are hungry when we get them since a lot of times they are coming from Kentucky so they have been in the car all day with no food so they don’t get sick.
While driving home with Cinder, Ebony and Ash I received a text that they were sick and we needed to keep them in a confined area. After I got home we were advised that the litter may have been exposed to Parvo and not to let them in the yard.
We got Peanut and Moose the end of July in 2023. They were super sweet little puppies and super cute! They loved to snuggle.
We got Penny, Dewey and Buddy in July of 2023 and we only had them for a week and 2 days. Penny was named for the color of her coat, Dewey got his name because he had a double dew claw on his back paws and Buddy was just a good little buddy. 🙂They loved running in the yard and playing in the kiddie pool. And, they were liked to help out with the dishes!!
The puppies all get their pictures taken to get posted for adoption. Getting pictures of puppies is harder than you would think! They don’t sit still at all and I swear they avoid looking at the camera!
When Patience’s puppies were 5 1/2 weeks old we decided it was time to let them see the big outdoors! Mama was not so sure about her puppies being out. They had a great time and seemed to enjoy the beautiful weather.
The puppies were becoming social! The first video below is the puppies all being social and climbing in my lap. I was in Puppy Heaven!! Next, our granddaughter is awesome with the puppies and spending time with her helps them get used to be around kids. And finally, Pumba coming over to say HI!
