Edna reminded us of Eddy on the TV show Frasier so we named her Edna and her brothers became Niles and Frasier. They were cute little terrier mix puppies that had a lot of energy. They immediately got along with our kitten Boots. She loves to play (torment) the foster puppies. She thinks she is part dog.
The first night is always hard on puppies, being away from their other littermates and perhaps being the first time away from their mama. I always lay with them or near them the first couple of nights until they fall asleep. I think it really helps them settle in.
We Have an Escape Artist!
Edna is an escape artist! We had to wrap the pen in what we call X-pen because she could squeeze through the pen rails. Edna quickly realized she could climb out using the x-pen. So, the next step was putting PVC around the top to prevent her from getting over the top. Even with all this in place she still got out! We were out to dinner and checked in on the puppies on the puppy cam and she was out again! We could not believe it! She was probably really bummed out when she realized we had the doorway blocked so she could not get out of my office and roam the house. It was all caught on the puppy cam video. Edna is a smart little stinker! We are just glad she didn’t get hurt!
Mornings with Edna, Frasier, and Niles 😊
I loved sitting outside in the mornings with Niles, Frasier, and Edna. They would play until they were tired and then they would all snuggle up in my lap. Several times I sent my boss a picture of me with the puppies claiming I was not able to work that day. But, eventually the puppies and I had to go inside to work.
Sleeping Puppies
I always love sleeping puppy pictures. It is so funny the positions they get themselves in. How can it be comfortable?! And sometimes they get the sweetest smile when they sleep. 🥰
Playtime and Learning to Sit
Edna, Frasier, and Niles were quick to learn to sit. They loved playing with the big crunchy octopus. He has the crunchy stuffing that puppies love. It always sounds like they are getting into something they are not supposed to which I’m sure is why they love it so much. 😂 They also enjoyed the treat puzzle and made sure to get every treat!
Too Darn Cute
It is really hard to get good pictures of puppies! After many attempts, I finally got good pictures for their adoption posts. Niles photo-bombed one of Frasier’s pictures – cracked me up! After they were posted and I didn’t need any more pictures, they all decided to do the cutest poses.
Edna, Boots, Lily, and Kitten Fosters
Frasier and Niles were adopted before Edna so we had her for about a week on her own. She was a good girl and would entertain herself. She also loved to hang out with our old lady dog Lily and play with our Kitten Boots. She even liked to hang out with our foster kittens Cheeto, Oreo, and Snickers.
Ready for Adoption
Edna, Frasier, and Niles all found the perfect homes! Edna has a brother who looks just like her! Frasier (Burton) goes to work with his mom, and Niles (Bruno) has a puppy sister and human sisters who adore him!
