December 14th, 2024 marks our 2nd Puppy Fosterversary! These past two years have been filled with laughter, smiles, and snuggles, but also some scary and heart-wrenching moments. So far we have fostered 80 puppies and 2 mama dogs through Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups.
Below are updates for puppies from our first year of fostering who were directly adopted, allowing us to stay connected with their families. Following these puppies are those that went to shelters to be adopted. We know these puppies found great families, but we don’t have any contact information. Sandy

We fostered sweet Sandy and her three sisters back in January of 2023. They were our third set of fosters. Sandy and her sisters looked so different this is when we learned there can be multiple dads over a two week period for the same litter! Her sisters were adopted through Friendship APL so we don’t have any contact information for her adopters, but we know they went to good homes. Sandy was adopted by someone who works at Friendship so we get updates. 😊 Sandy is now 2 years old and weighs about 35 pounds. She kept her foster name of Sandy. You can see from the pictures below she has an amazing life!
Tito (Rory)

Tito was adopted by some of our good friends so we get to see him! He weighs 55 pounds now and is a huge sweetheart who loves to snuggle.
Quinn

Quinn is doing so well! She has two human brothers who are totally in love with her. The oldest even said that getting a dog has changed his life. ❤️ In the picture, Quinn is snuggling with the blanket her human brother got for her at the Santa Shop. She absolutely loves it!
Stella (Cocoa)

Stella’s mom says she’s amazing. She’s super smart and her vocabulary is growing every day (sometimes she’s too smart for her own good, lol). She weighs about 18 pounds now. Her brother Spanky and she are inseparable partners in crime.
Honey

Honey is still adorable! Her ears are always standing up, even when she sleeps. Sometimes she puts them back, but most of the time they’re at attention! LOL! Her mom says she’s so cute and sweet, and they absolutely love her. She has a cat brother that she plays with all day. She’s 24 pounds now.
Zuri (Patience)

Zuri’s mom says she’s awesome—happy, healthy, and the best dog ever. She loves digging with her nose! The second picture shows her giving the ‘Who? Me?’ look, with dirt on her nose. She understands no digging… sometimes but she thinks using her nose doesn’t count! The last picture is of Zuri in her frog pose, waiting for mom to finish making coffee. We fostered Zuri and her 8 three-week old puppies.
Millie (Nala)

Nala is doing great! Her mom says she’s so funny—she always looks very sad, but she’s such a happy girl. She loves her brother and playing with our cats! She’s a big fan of the snow, car rides, running around, and snuggling 🩷 She has ‘little sister energy’ because she’s always right behind her brother, wanting whatever he has or is doing! She’s about 40 pounds now!
Kobi (Mufasa)

Kobi’s mom says he is a he is a super happy dog who loves life! He loves going on nature walks and going to the river, he’s a pretty good swimmer!! He loves the car, meeting people and other dogs. He’s the perfect dog and they love him. ❤️❤️ He weights 80 lbs!!
Blue (Pumba)

Blue is well loved and has turned into a beautiful and well-behaved dog. He still has his beautiful blue eyes!
Cassidy (Peanut)

Cassidy is doing great!! She came to stay with us so we were able to get a picture of her in the same bed she used when she was a puppy! 🤣She finished beginner obedience class! She has a big sister and they are inseparable. She’s a big snuggle bug. Her Mama says she just makes them so happy. Cassidy and her sister are her favorite part of the day. 🥰
Moose

Moose is 83 lbs now! His mom says he’s full of energy and absolutely loves his pull toys. He enjoys playing out back in the fenced-in area. He’s such a big lovable baby.
Gracie (Cinnamon)

Gracie is a total sweetheart.! She was adopted by friends who live nearby, so we get to see her and even go on walks together sometimes! She’s doing great in training, and her trainer says she’s very smart and ALWAYS thinking!!
Pepper

Pepper’s mom says her darling Pepper is a whopping 50 lbs. and the most sweetest angel!!! She says she learned from Pepper what innocent 😇 souls look like-she has only love and joy. Not a mean bone in her body.
Osita (Autumn)

We thought Osita and her brother Kage were Pomsky and would be small, weighing about 20 pounds. We were wrong! Turns out they are Siberian Huskey, German Shepherd, Great Pyrenees and Alaskan Malamute mix. It is so hard to guess the breed when the puppies are abandoned and we don’t know the mama or dad. Unfortunately, that happens a lot.
Osita weighs over 55 pounds now. Her dad says she has a lot of energy. He loves her very much.
Kage (Sky)

Kage weighs about 50 pounds now. Luckily his family loves him very much despite he is much bigger than expected!
Gus (Scout)

Gus’s mom says he is doing great. He is a very sweet and playful dog. He weights about 45 lbs.
Dakota (Mollie)

Dakota’s mom says she is doing great. After a short business trip, Dakota was attached to her for at least 12 hours. 😂 Our dog Lily does the same thing! Dakota has two nieces (I know it sounds silly but we consider dogs family) so she has friends to play with when they come to visit! Her mom says she’s been a great addition to their house. She weighs about 50 pounds now.
Bruno (Colton)

Bruno’s mom says he is happy and healthy and loves his brother and them. He is a major cuddler. 💖He weighs 65lbs.

Sweet Ash
We lost sweet Ash to Parvo. It was heartbreaking. She went to puppy heaven. A reminder how important it is to keep up with vaccines.
