We called these four sweet little sisters the Fur-tastic four. We picked them up from the GMDAP farm on January 8th, 2023. Their foster names were Velvet, Sandy, Ginger, and Boots. Velvet is on the top left, with the black fur. She is soft as velvet! Sandy is in the top middle. She has pretty sand-colored fur and is a total sweetheart. She would get a little nervous around new people and kids with a lot of energy. We named Ginger after our granddaughter’s dog because she looks and acts so much like her it was crazy. We kept saying they have to be related somehow. 😉And finally Boots has four little white paws that look like boots.
We fostered these sweethearts for a week and two days and then they went to Friendship APL to get adopted. When we got them they were 2 months and 18 days old. Velvet grew the most from 7.8 to 8.4 pounds within a little over a week! Boots weighed 10.2, Ginger 9.4, and last but not least Sandy at 11.4 pounds. They were all a very loveable bunch that liked to snuggle! They were good with our dog Lily and cat Olive. Like all puppies, they loved to chew on anything they could get their paws on!
So Darn Cute!
Just hanging out looking cute!
All the puppies like hiding under chairs. Velvet and Ginger in their little “caves”
Play Time
The first video is a game of Tug with Ms. Betsy’s hair scrunchy. They always wanted the same toy! Then play time in the snow with Aunt Lily. And the last video, fun with the cat tunnel!
Sleepy Time
A video of Boots dreaming and Ginger wondering what the noise is. Velvet propped up on the wall. How can that be comfortable?! 🤣
Getting Some Love
The girls getting some love from our granddaughter Ellie and my son Josh. Ellie is so great with the puppies and it is good for the puppies to have exposure to kids to get them ready for their fur-ever homes. The last picture is Rob holding Velvet and giving her some snuggles. Don’t tell the other puppies but I think she was his favorite. 🤫
The Front Puppy Pen Area
We continue to try new setups to improve the pen areas. This setup was in Ms. Betsy’s office in the front room. We put down a linoleum sheet over the carpet and used a couple x-pens. Sometimes they were good puppies and slept while Ms. Betsy worked, other times they would tear the place up while we were out to dinner.
Ready for Adoption
The pictures below were taken and posted on Friendship APL’s Facebook page when the puppies went up for adoption. They were all adopted within a day! It was so hard to drop these little girls off at the APL but I kept reminding myself it was the fastest way for them to find their fur-ever homes.
