Merry, Kris and Kringle Arrive
These sweet puppies were part of a litter of nine that were dropped off at the Coshocton County Dog Warden at just four weeks old—far too young to be separated from their mama. Ideally, Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups would have taken in both the mama dog and her puppies, fostering them all until the mama was fixed and returned. Unfortunately, that wasn’t possible in this case. Because they were separated from Mama at such a young age, Merry took some time to warm up, but now she’s a huge snuggle bug.
The first picture and video show two of the puppies enjoying “puppy spa time” at Ms. Betsy’s Puppy Boutique. During spa time, each puppy gets a bath with anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal shampoo, just in case. Their ears and faces are also cleaned while the shampoo soaks in. After their baths, they are dried off and have their nails trimmed. The puppies have dried food to snack on while waiting for their siblings to be bathed.
After spa time, Merry, Kris, and Kringle enjoy a meal of dried puppy food softened with milk replacer. Then everyone settles in for a long nap.

Baby, Muffin and Cookie Come for a Visit!
Merry, Kris, and Kringle’s sisters, Baby, Muffin, and Cookie, came to stay for a couple of days while their foster was out of town. It was adorable to see them all play and sleep together. They were all well-behaved, but having six puppies certainly created a lot of noise and mess!
The first video shows all the puppies eating together, and then a playful scuffle breaks out in the “bathroom”! Following that are pictures of the puppies sleeping with their heartbeat-stuffed mama dogs, which provide comfort since they were taken away from their mama so young. A couple even got to snuggle with Aunt Lily.

Dani and Jackson Come Home for the Holidays!
Our daughter and grandson came home from the holidays and got to spend time with the puppies. They had a great time outside running and playing on the slide!

Playtime
Puppies love to play with all kinds of toys! Whether it’s chew toys, squeakers, toys that crinkle or make noise, cleaned-out food containers, or toys for tugging. They also enjoy rough and tumble play while learning from each other that biting hurts.
Playtime and Snuggles with Boots and Aunt Lily
The puppies try to play with Aunt Lily, our 14-year-old Bichon Frise mix. She’s quite elderly and doesn’t enjoy playing as much anymore. But our kitten, Boots, thinks she is part dog and plays with the puppies! Boots loves playing with the foster puppies, even though they can sometimes get a bit too rough. Despite this, Boots doesn’t mind and keeps putting herself back in the middle of all the puppy play!

Outdoor Play
The first couple of days we had the puppies, it was chilly but no snow—cold enough for jackets, which is always fun trying to get them to fit right. In a couple of the videos, you can see us working on teaching the command “Come!” Then it got colder, and it snowed. The puppies seemed okay in the cold, so we didn’t use coats and just limited their time outside to a couple of minutes.
Sleeping Puppies
I loove pictures and videos of sleeping puppies so as always I took a lot.
