The first picture is from the list of the litters available to foster. We picked Bruno and Bella from the litter. The next photo is Bruno getting some hugs from our granddaughter Eleanor. The rest are of them just hanging out and being cute.
Puppy Toy Project
While we had Bruno and Bella, Eleanor built a toy for the puppies! It started as just a pile of PVC, plastic chains, and zip ties. We built the main frame and then did some measurements to make sure it was a good size for the puppies. The plastic chain was attached and finally the toys were zip-tied on! “Aunt Lily” decided to pimp out with some plastic chain. As you can see in the video it turned out awesome and they love it!
Outdoor Play
Bruno and Bella loved playing with a ball and Bruno would even fetch! Bella was with us longer than Bruno. Once she had enough vaccinations to be outside, we took her on a walk! She loved it and did pretty well on a leash.
I was carrying Bella and Bruno up and down the steps into the yard thinking they were way too small to do steps. I went back into the house to grab my phone while they were out in the yard and they ran up the stairs with no problem! So I thought well let me see if they can go down the stairs. So I went back down in the yard and they ran right down the steps with no issue! Lol
Aunt Lily and Bella Become Buddies!
Our dog Lily is 14 years old. She is pretty good about tolerating the puppies but Bella is the first one she wanted to play with and didn’t mind laying with! In the first video, Bella is harassing Lily through the pen! Stinker. In the last two videos of Lily and Bella playing you can hear the exercise video we were supposed to be doing in the background. I chose to record a video of Lily and Bella playing instead. π€£
Bella Loves a Good Squeaker and a Tissue Box!
Bella loved squeakers! She would get a hold of one and squeak it over and over. I saw an octopus with squeakers on each tentacle and I had to have it for Bella!
Yummy Kong Treats
One of the treats we like to make for the puppies is Kongs filled with a little dried food, canned food, and topped with Kong cheese. We freeze these and they love them. Sometimes I put a little piece of dried food on top as a decoration. I tell Rob that this is so he does not get confused and think they are for him. LOL. The cold feels good on their teeth and it keeps them busy getting the food out. We will give them these kongs when we are going to be out for a bit. Bruno is helping out by lying on my feet while I make their Kongs. π
Ready for Adoption
Bruno and Bella went up for adoption and both were direct adopted!
