This weekend was our first trip with our trailer for the season. We were supposed to camp at Maize Winery as part of the Harvest Hosts program along with Betsy’s brother, Kirk, and his wife, Donna, but they were unable to get their trailer out of the backyard where it was parked for the winter – too muddy!
They were still able to drive out and enjoy some great food and wine with us, then hang out at our trailer for a bit.
Maize has a few sites along a fence line away from the main buildings. Nice and quite, but it may get a bit muddy after long rains. The main building is spacious and they have live music, a good selection of food, and, of course, delicious wines!

Maize Valley is a family-friendly winery/farm outside of Hartville, Ohio. They have a lot of events, especially in the fall, including hay rides and their famous pumpkin cannon.
